Plug-In® labels

With integrated label code on the liner for automatic control of a price labeling device based on the interaction of label and device. Plug-In® labels reduce setup times and avoid costly incorrect labeling.
Plug-In® labels comprise a code in their liner which includes the most important label information (label specifications and SAP number) and stores device-dependent machine parameters. Via this two-dimensional barcode, the label is clearly identified and authenticity guaranteed. The device is then qualified of retrieving PLU data associated to the product and to automatically adjust individually in order for imprint areas, print speed and individual settings to be implemented without intervention of a machine operator.At the same time this allows a cross check which assigns the right PLU to the right label. The error source of incorrect labeling is thus omitted. Using original parts extends the service life and reduces the total cost of ownership. This functional label was specifically developed for weigh price labeler GLM-Ievo and the Bizerba label qualities »BRL 70« and »BRL 90«.

The Plug-In®label system offers numerous new possibilities. This allows customers, for example, to have labels supplied "just-in-time" in order to lower their stock-keeping costs.

Quality features

Currently, a print speed of 300 millimeters per second at a throughput of 200 packages per minute is possible. The labeler ensures that the maximum speed is only applied if thermal labels are used which are suitable for this speed. For each batch there is a security check to ensure optimal print results for barcodes and reference texts, perfect readability resulting in fewer rejected products by the retailer.
