The newly installed Mark Andy EVO 17” 10-color, full UV press, operational since July 2, 2025, features a short web path, auto register, and tooling compatibility with Bizerba’s fleet of P-series presses. Designed to handle both pressure-sensitive and unsupported films, the press is integrated into a dedicated work cell alongside the Clean Cut coater, offering flexible, high-efficiency production tailored to modern labeling demands. Full UV printing also supports improved energy efficiency and consistent print quality.
“This installation further confirms our commitment to the Clean Cut market, as well as frees up capacity on other assets to better service all of our customer base,” said Brian A. Evans, President, Labels and Consumables, Bizerba North America. “With this additional capacity and localized production, we are in an even stronger position to offer fast, flexible, and reliable service to our partners.”
The Joppa facility continues to play a central role in Bizerba’s local production strategy. As demand increases for shorter supply chains, reduced emissions, and faster delivery, Bizerba’s investment in U.S.-based infrastructure ensures that customers benefit from reliable lead times, with a two-week turnaround goal maintained as standard.
“Our investment in Joppa is part of a broader strategy to strengthen local manufacturing, support sustainable growth, and bring production closer to the customer,” said Aaron L. Garry, President and CEO, Bizerba North America and UK. “By expanding our capabilities in the U.S., we’re reinforcing our commitment to being a reliable, forward-thinking partner for the industries we serve.”
