| Bizerba China receives award for sustainable design – The Bizerba China market organization has now received the Sustainability Design Award at swop 2023 (Shanghai World of Packaging Exhibition).
Award presented for the first time ever
The Design Award was presented for the first time ever at swop. Originally, the award was introduced by the global initiative Save Food, founded by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the UN Environment Program (UNEP) in collaboration with Messe Düsseldorf and interpack.
Sustainable design prevents food waste
With the award, the Save Food Initiative is raising awareness to the need to reduce food waste. At the same time, the significance of sustainable design can be emphasized in this manner.
900 exhibitors from around the world
Around 900 exhibitors were on site in Shanghai from November 22 to 24, 2023. Experts from China and all over the world met to exchange ideas as part of the accompanying program that included various discussion platforms and many events. Topics such as sustainable best-case scenarios, smart machines, innovative packaging design, new materials and much more were the focus.
Bizerba at the Round Table
In addition to the award presentation itself, the Save Food Initiative also invited the Bizerba MO China to participate in a round table discussion. This was a forum for leading suppliers to the packaging and food processing industry from around the world to discuss the topic of sustainability. Especially interesting were the in-depth insights that emerged from the many perspectives in the various areas. This demonstrated once again that sustainability is a huge trend affecting the entire industry.
